Dear Graphene Community,

i was trying to install Graphene and after unlock the bootloader, and downloading the factory image for a Pixel 8a, i started to flash but it didn't work, and i pushed the power button by mistake (where the word start appears).
Right now, i can't flash it anymore because my browser (edge) doesn't recognize the phone and when i restart the phone, it says: press power button to stop

and the following message:

_The bootloader is unlocked and software integrity cannot be guaranteed. Any data stored on the device may be available to attackers. Do not store any sensitive data on the device.

It just let me resume or pause, and by resuming it goes back to initial set up, while it's still greying the OEM unlocking button.

I hope someone can help me,

Thanks a lot!

Hello!

Refresh the browser tab and on your phone, hold the volume down button while it's starting so you get into fastboot mode again. From there you can restart the installation. Skip the unlock bootloader step since you've done that already.

At what point did the installation go wrong? Connect the phone to your computer with the included usb-c to usb-c cable if possible, it's known to be compatible.

I had this same issue. Either change browser, or install the drivers. Go to windows update, and advanced and optional updates.

Hope this solves it for you.

It went wrong after clicking on flash on the browser... It says: Error: undefined

I guess the factory image is downloaded but it gets stocked... i've tried your advice by pressing the volume down, then i get into fastboot but after refreshing the browser it doesn't allow me neither to flash it (it says i got to download a image) and when i try it, it doesn't... so i'm stocked in the fastboot Mode...

Incognito tab perhaps? Does the hard drive of your computer have at least 32 GB free?

Mmm... I will try to modify the partitions of the pc and let you know if it works this way

        Thank you very much!

I've tried google chrome and after clicking on unlock bootloader and connecting the phone it says:

Error: Failed to execute 'claimInterface' on 'USBDevice': Unable to claim interface.

The same with Obtaining factory images and Flashing factory images...

That's because you have at least one other instance of the web installer open, get rid of the extra ones.

i've tried with chrome and close every other instance of the web installer as you said... and now by clicking on Unlock bootloader it says: Bootloader is already unlocked

and then by clicking on Obtaining factory image: Error: undefined

as well as by clicking on Flash: Error: You need to download a release first!

          i'm getting mad with this!
i'll try tomorrow (Germany 02:00 am right now) to modify the partitions of the pc and let you know if it works this way, thanks anyway and i hope this step resolves this matter

Tsg1405 Obtaining factory image: Error: undefined

This might mean that the browser is out of date, or might mean that there isn't enough storage space to download the release.

When you try again, maybe try shutting everything down, then start by reporting which version of which OS, which version of which browser, how much storage space is free, etc. Please make sure incognito/private mode is not used, shields are down, etc.

Tsg1405 Ok, just make sure the drivers are downloaded. Even if your system is updated, when you first plug in the phone, if the browser does not recognise it will likely be due to :

            1 : Bad cable
            2 : Bad browser
3 : USB drivers, in advanced settings in windows

I know it might seem stressful but you will get it in the end 😄 read the guide carefully.

            Good luck

            Hi guys,

it worked by extending the storage space! Thank you very much! I apreciate your help und long live to this amazing community!

Tsg1405 Thanks for reporting back! This information may help other users later.
