Hi, here is my first post here and coming from many custom os, i still feel that grapheneos is missing some features which are basic on other.

  1. Battery text only (removing the battery icon)
  2. Vanadium add-on (for ublock origin)
  3. Ability for alarm to switch on the phone
  4. Grapheneos store ... What's with it? Why not include those apps update in the phone update?
  5. Keyboard ability to include a number row above letters
Apart from these 5 bits everything seems to be very good.
Anyway I would like to know opinions regarding these 5 bits that is scratching my ocd .
Thank you for your time and consideration.

John

Indeed GrapheneOS does not have features that other OS' have, and you have to ask why?
The features GrapheneOS has are world class security and privacy.
The basic features you would like or seem to think are missing will take time and effort to implement, far better use of that time and effort can be put to making GrapheneOS secure and safer...
Personally I will take function over form any day,

Legio Grapheneos store ... What's with it? Why not include those apps update in the phone update?

      1. Because some like Google Play Service/Store are optional.
      2. Because you would need to reboot your phone to install updates of Camera or Vanadium.

Legio Vanadium add-on (for ublock origin)

We recommend against trying to achieve browser privacy and security through piling on browser extensions and modifications. Most privacy features for browsers are privacy theater without a clear threat model and these features often reduce privacy by aiding fingerprinting and adding more state shared between sites. Every change you make results in you standing out from the crowd and generally provides more ways to track you. Enumerating badness via content filtering is not a viable approach to achieving decent privacy, just as AntiVirus isn't a viable way to achieving decent security. These are losing battles, and are at best a stopgap reducing exposure while waiting for real privacy and security features.

Dumdum I'm about that too since i do use this operating system but as I said before, my ocd still play an important role, so then how about something like ublock included in the browser, something that does stop those pesky adds

geko sorry for misunderstanding, I want the same thing, but as I said before I do have a OCD, which makes me quite busy
