After a reset and full charge like my normal routine my battery life has dropped a 3rd. I usually get 10% equals one hour and thirty minutes screen on time. I'm now getting thirty minutes every 10% of battery usage. That's a loss of 66% of battery life. So #1. I have this droid in my Battery statistics using battery that's not in my app drawer. https://ibb.co/X7Zzykg
#2. My Apps keep resetting themselves to the stock settings after I reboot device or perform an update.
#3. My battery usage just dropped 66%.
I'm trying to figure out what's going on here. No one has touched my device. I've been using GOS since the release of the 3A. Never had a problem. Not that it matters but I'm a monthly donator. I just want to know what my best course of action is. I've already factory reset twice. Should I re-flash or is this because of the last update? Any help would be appreciated

I noticed this unusual battery drain last night on one of my Pixel 7s. In my case, the unknown android app accounted for a whopping 44% of battery usage since that morning, far more than any other app on the list, and the phone had barely been used (maybe 10 minutes SOT).

I chalked it up to a system update from the previous evening, rebooted the phone and it's been fine ever since. The unknown app is still present in the list, but the battery has not drained at an unusual rate since the reboot.

There are a couple of similar threads about the "ghost app", but no verified solutions (that I've seen anyway). My guess is it's an upstream bug in 13, but I'm sure we'll see soon enough.

mythodical I love you. Thank you for letting me know you have that app and are experiencing the same issues. This really had me scratching my head. I'm sorry your device is effected by this but it helps to know this is something that will probably be sorted out before I re-flashed. I was just about to. Thank you

I'm referring to that driod with no info. Sometimes it drains 20% of my battery

      Hi,
I also have that "Droid" App in my battery statistics (Pixel 6a).
Battery usage is about 3%, but it is strange anyway.
      What app is that? 🤔
      Best regards

GraphyGraphy IDK. I'd like to find out because ever since it's been on my phone my battery life has dropped

I also have this "Ghost App" in the battery usage view on my Pixel 6a. In my case, it drains about 6%.

In the recent weeks I also did experience heavy battery drain. I had the impression that when I switch off 5G, the drain is back to normal, as described in my post here.

Got the same thing and my battery usage isn't that great either. I was expecting battery to be way better on Graphene than on stock Android. P7 Pro

As an experiment, I've done some extreme battery tuning of the operating system, the apps, and of course, battery optimization turned on, I eked 74 hours of battery with 8% remaining on my Pixel Pro 7 That was under extremely light usage. On the other hand, when watching a 23-minute YT video, my phone lost 2% battery! I've seen similar losses calling on Signal, which is a heavy-CPU user because it continuously encrypts/decrypts phone calls.

One thing a lot of people don't realize about battery optimization is that it does nothing for the currently running application, the foreground app, but it definitely stops running background apps only if their battery is set to Restricted, certain permissions are denied, and certain privileges are removed (all available through Settings). For example, right now on my phone, I have six foreground apps (5 are Android and 1 is Forecastie) and 13 background apps; Android stuff (10 apps), Google Play Services, DAVx5, and Signal. That's it. With this particular optimization, I have 30% battery remaining after 36 hours and I should get about 48 hours with 8-10% battery remaining.

My takeaway is that the phone's battery is optimized for no usage(!!), but once you start using it, it can drain quickly depending on how heavily you customized the battery savings.

        SIDE NOTE

As an experiment, I setup a "naked" profile on my Pixel 6a limiting it to 6 base apps: Apps, Clock, Files, Messaging, Phone, and Settings. Everything else has been disabled. I also set up my battery optimization. With all this, the phone still consumes 6-7% battery per day with no usage. Nevertheless, I want to see how long the battery lasts before it drains to 6%. This profile could be used as the "Extreme Battery Optimization" found on phones like Samsung.
