Aeon I use croc personally but this looks nice
raccoondad Update: downloaded local send, will still use croc in cases where I don't have a direct wifi connection, but DAMN its good
mmmm It seems nice, but I'm a bit reluctant to use it because it needs to disable "Block connection without vpn" on GOS. And I read somewhere that it needs admin rights on Windows.
LocalSend need also the same restrictions ?
If I ever needed to send data between profiles, I would have used Proton Drive or USB stick. One nice chunky encrypted zip file. Destroy after use :)
I've always used Dukto between all my devices but will check LocalSend out.
Sorry for necro'ing this thread but I can't seem to get local send to work with my GOS phone.
Are you guys needing to do anything differently to set it up?
What do you mean with "you can't get it work"?
Can you give more details please
Hat Croc doesn't need that and it works with non-locally connected devices 0>0
Big croc simp because I hated scp tbh
raccoondad Thanks
6 MB for the original release on PC, and 160 MB for the adapted version on Android. That a lot of additional code.
Hat read somewhere that it needs admin rights on Windows.
The post I read in another forum seem outdated. I could run the KDEconnect on Windows and share files without an admin prompt.
Even on Bluetooth "Block connection without VPN" works as attended so it block the connection.
mmmm I think the key is the RethinkDNS app on your set up.
I would like a tutorial for RethinkDNS. Maybe an idea for the Side Of Burritos channel 😉
Apologies I missed the replies.
For me at least, my GOS phone will not show itself on other devices (both arch linux and macos).
I thought mullvad was blocking networking connections but that setting does not seem to have any affect.
GOS/android permissions are set to allow on the localsend app.
I am using openwrt routers but doubt that is the problem because localsend works with other devices on the network.
Also tried manually setting the IP addresses.
