Hi shorty123,
sorry for asking, but another member had asks the same a few days or weeks before and he has searched in the settings menu.

Maybe you have searched inside the “Apps” menu by starting “Apps” inside Apps” – then it would be the same result: no “sandboxed Google Play services” appearing.

To be clear: “sandboxed Google Play services” is not the name to search in GOS/not the name of the app to run.
– Tap one time on the “Apps” app, then you normally see nine apps.
– Tap on “Google Play services” to install “sandboxed Google Play services…

Thanks for the reply. I read the other post, nothing worked for me. Searching settings or App still results in nothing showing.

de0u Thanks for the reply. As far as I can tell I am on the latest version. I check for updates to the OS and there aren't any

shorty123 As far as I can tell I am on the latest version. I check for updates

But no version of Android 13 is up to date for a Pixel 6a.

I don't understand why a Pixel 6a with Android 13 doesn't get the option to install sandboxed Google Play Services after installing GrapheneOS.

I checked how it was with my Pixel 7 Pro in March 2023:
The Pixel 7 Pro was also delivered with Android 13 and everything was okay there.
I started with this GOS version: https://grapheneos.org/releases#2023030400

The Pixel 6a is a little older, but there are only a few months difference.
    Very strange…

Eagle_Owl are you using a custom DNS server? Something may be blocking the domain that serves GOS updates. Both your phones are very out of date

Yea, I realize I am on TP1A.221005.003. When I use system updater to check for updates I get a failure notification that says it can't resolve host for "releases.grapheneos.org" no address associated with this hostname. I guess I need to try to sideload the latest stable release

          Hi roamer4223,
you have misunderstood my feedback. Or you just mixed up the names of shorty123 and me.
I have written about my first GOS version past in 2023, not about the present. ;-)

BTW: I have two Pixel phones, but both have the newest GOS version and neither of them is a 6a.

Eagle_Owl I'm sorry I did get mixed up. I understand what you meant now. My bad!

Yes I should ask @shorty123 - do you have a custom DNS server or something? Because something may be blocking the GOS update server. Just a thought

shorty123 When I use system updater to check for updates I get a failure notification that says it can't resolve host for "releases.grapheneos.org" no address associated with this hostname.

            Something is very odd.

Were any certificates disabled in Settings, Security, More security settings, Encryption and credentials, Trusted credentials?

Has automatic time synch been disabled in System, Date & time?

So silly, system updater did not have network permission granted. Fixed that and am now in process of updating.
