I used to do this with Google messages (messages.google.com). You would connect, via a QR code, to your phone, then you could read, compose, and send messages through your phone, on your laptop.

Is there a way to do this with the Graphene SMS app? Or perhaps some other SMS app?

Failing that - are there any other decent SMS apps out there - just looking for a larger typing window. The default one shows only 3 lines at a time.

I dont know of a method as to connect sms to your pc.

As for a different sms app: I am using Fossify Messages https://github.com/FossifyOrg/Messages

I dont use sms much I prefer using Signal but I have to use whatsapp too (contractors use whatsapp a lot where I live and they dont change their messaging system just for a ramdom guy.)

I've just downloaded KDE Connect on my GrapheneOS pixel phone and Windows laptop and they are both connected.

But there doesn't seem to be any function that sends text messages to my laptop.

I've seen some web pages explaining how to do it using coding, but they only seem to work for Linux computers.

I came on here to look for any answers. Do you use a Windows computer? And if so, how do you do it?

Very rarely use Windows. As far as I can see on the web, the Windows version should have it. As long as the SMS plugin is enabled and permissions given etc. then you should just right click the KDEConnect icon in the system tray and select SMS Messages from the menu.
