Crazy Screen Jiggle glitch, bug, issue, problem

15 Minutes Post-RESSURECTION Update: works like a Charm, reacts to the slightest touches, no Jiggle or anything. Nothing ever was Wrong with it.

The Only Explanation I can think up right now is that this Bastard just heard me talking to my friend that "I guess I need to Replace it with another Device" and did the Infamous "It's Just a Prank, BRO" and suddently became fully normal again :)

As You can see at the Very End of this clip the jiggle is SO SEVERE it looks like the Screen is Broken beyong Repair. But yet it HEALED itself. Freaking Wolverine WooDoo sh*t :)

Update: I gathered enough courage to finally Turn Off the Screen.

Guess what? When I turned it On - The Crazy Jiggle Glitch came Right Back! (the exact same type as at the End of the Video)

Unfortunately this still sounds like a hardware problem. I would recommend flashing it back to the stock Google OS, with the expectation that it will exhibit the same symptoms if it is used for a day or so. At that point hopefully Google will replace it under warranty.

from what it sounds like, i had the same issue with my pixel 7, down to the intermittent working. it even fooled the repair guys and i had to go back!

your screen is defective and is no longer properly connected to the rest of the hardware, i'm all but certain. if it's under warranty you can take it in and they will repair it in a few hours time.

itsjpb Yep, it can definitely Fool anybody - after it again just sat down on the Dock without charging for Night - it Works Perfectly again!

As for Defective Screen - again, I'm not sure if the Screen itself has anything to do with the Glitches: it works flawlessly, reacting to the slightest touch, and the Glitch never occurs while I'm actively working on it. It occurs RIGHT AFTER I turn screen Off and then On

Broken hardware is not something to submit to software developers to fix. Based on the description so far, unfortunately your device is probably broken. The report from itsjpb is about a broken device that was fixed by a repair shop.

I believe the prudent things to do are:

Flash your device back to the stock OS, use it long enough for it to exhibit the bad behavior, and take it to a repair shop (or mail it to Google), or
Find a repair shop that is not alarmed by repairing a device running a non-Google OS.

I believe a qualified Pixel Tablet repair tech would quickly diagnose the device as broken after seeing it misbehave that way.

yes, all this matches with my experience with a broken screen. it developed over the course of a week or two.

de0u just to add to your 2 options, ifixit did not give a shit that i was running graphene. your mileage may very but i was under warranty and they fixed and filed my claim without resetting the os.

A Quick Update: the Tablet just sat indefinitely and from time to time I tried if it "allow" me to work with it again.

And then @muhomorr just wrote to me on Matrix: "You can use a USB Mouse"

I felt like suddently my Third Eye was opened or smth. How have I not Considered it myself???

And sure enough - the Mouse worked Flawlessly even while Screen still Glitching like hell. I activated OEM Unlocking, Unlocked the Bootloader, Flashed the Last Public Stock GoogleOS, Locked it again - the GoogleOS was starting... but the Screen Glitch + No Touch Issue not only Happenned again in the Exact Same way as on GrapheneOS, but started to happen A LOT more Often.

I checked my Warranty and - thank's God - I'm still eligible for a Full Gadget Replacement! Weirdly enough it says that "Pixel Tablet can't be Repaired - only Replaced"
