[deleted] I agree, the hardware should still be somewhat secure. But why would one buy a ledger Nano S over a Trezor Safe 3, if the price is the same, but the Trezor is better in pretty much every way (hardware security chip, open source, web app for Vanadium, no track record of leaking your home address, no potential security risk due to online recover feature, ...). I am not affiliated with any of the brands, but I recently did a lot of research and from all the serious wallet vendors Ledger was by far the last on my list.
I could only imagine that one niche coin OP really really wants to buy is not supported by Trezor, but it's unlikely and probably there would still be better options elsewhere. OP asked for recommendations, and for me Ledger is nothing to recommend ever since the first leak.
