Hello, I would like to know if GOS intends to update the default applications based on older versions of Android?

I'm thinking in particular of the phone, contact, SMS, gallery (one of the worst applications, along with sms) etc. applications, which urgently need updating.
Security is all well and good, but you also need to have a certain level of ergonomics so that you're not pushed (forced) to download alternative applications.

Apart from that, excellent work by the team, really, I love GOS and I won't change, I can't see myself moving on to anything else.

Ah right thanks, well from what I've seen, the apps are due to be updated or replaced, and soon, that's really good news, I'll stay patient.

Just to lower your timeline expectations a little bit:

I may be wrong but I interpret the posts mentioned here, especially the more recent one by @matchboxbananasynergy , to mean that the GrapheneOS team is indeed aware of the "problem", but that the renewal of the apps is more of a cosmetic nature and therefore not at the top of the developers' priority list like security and privacy improvements.

So maybe an update may something not be happening in the near future.

Oh dear, I think I got a little too carried away, I was imagining rapid changes with the arrival of Android 15 for example, but it's true that there are much more important things for the GOS team.
Too bad, I'll just have to wait and see.
