Hi,
I flashed GOS to my Pixel 4a 5G tomorrow and there were absolutely no sounds coming from the phone. No alarm sounds, no media sounds, nothing. Despite checking and trying everything i could think of, i couldn't fix it. I also couldn't shoot videos with the stock GOS camera app. I went back to stock OS today and everything was normal so i doubt the issue is hardware related. I really want to switch to GOS, is there any way to fix those problems?
Thanks.

Deccal I'm assuming you installed the latest stable version, 2024031300, which was released on March 13th. I checked the issue tracker and couldn't find any other reports of this issue. Maybe a developer knows about an issue that's not logged? I am not sure.

The model you're using doesn't get firmware updates anymore and can't be considered secure. If possible, you should get a newer model, preferably the Pixel 8 if you can.

Unfortunately, since you experienced this issue right after flashing GrapheneOS to it, I'd expect you'll have the same issue if you try again. You can try waiting for a newer release to try again, but if you continue to have the same issue, I'd suggest getting logs by following these instructions https://developer.android.com/studio/debug/bug-report#bugreportdevice, then you can submit them to the developers so that they may figure out what the problem is.

other8026 Thanks for the reply. I will try reinstalling GOS and share the logs with the developers if the problem occurs again.

Hello again, I reinstalled GOS and at first it run perfectly. Camera and sound was smooth. After a day later, the problems occured again.

Deccal How many days has sound been observed to work in a row when the device is running the stock OS? How long have you owned the device?
