Aeon I solved that with only downloading updates on wifi

Aeon

I think the idea of automatically installing updates only in WiFi is great. I just don't see where I can set it. Under Settings> System > System Updates I find the toggle for "Require device to be charging" (I don't want that) but no setting for WiFi. The only menu item that has anything to do with networks is "Permitted networks" with the options "Any/Not roaming/Unmetered".

    That setting made no difference.
As soon as I plugged in my phone the update finished.
With 3 seconds it was validating so it must have been doing an update while unplugged.
Add to that, the download happen on battery power.

[deleted] Ah cool, learned something new again. Thanks for the quick reply, I will test it directly on the next update.

Was the update pushed to all devices some time in the last 12 hours? I woke up and noticed my phone had restarted and bluetooth was on. I have bluetooth set to go off after a short period of not using it.

router99 Yes, mine has been updated a couple hours ago.

[deleted] That's incorrect. The download size for the latest release is 3MB from the previous release. Why would it take a long time to download?

Whatever. The phone is set to only update while plugged in and today's update was downloaded and started on battery.

Swiping down on the homescreen used to show the date and now it doesn't anymore. Is that a bug or a feature?

Thanks for the quick updates and fixes, you're awesome!

F0SSIL when swiping down I see date next to time .

Guest profile does not auto delete when using end session only by manually deleting or a reboot .

On my Pixel 6a, the feature "Turn off Wi-Fi automatically" isn't working anymore (WiFi is still activated after the time). I have it on 5min and haven't changed it since the phone is running GOS.
              Can anyone confirm this? Thanks!

F0g Yes F0g...I have the same issue on my P6pro. This is the first time I've experienced an issue after an update, and I've been on GOS since September 2023. While that is not a long time, I feel that's an awesome track record...several updates with zero issues on my device until now. Thank you GOS dev's for all you do! Great job! That being said F0g, I'm confident they will fix this bug. In the meantime, we just have to remember to turn off WiFi. Hopefully not a big deal in the grand scheme of things. And it seems spring-onion has indicated GOS Dev's are on it.

F0g F0g...Build number 2024031100, released the other day, fixed "Turn off Wi-Fi automatically" on my P6pro. Hopefully it is working now for you too.
