I'm looking for advice on privacy using Graphene OS vs Android/Google privacy settings.
Below are examples of a few things I've been doing:

Android privacy settings - turning off app permissions

Google account - turning off activity tracking etc

Android concerns - Some apps seem to have permissions turned back on after updates, so I have to check privacy settings regularly. Second, even with permissions turned off on many apps...I just don't know if I trust/believe it.
Benefit of staying w/ Android - app compatibility, less OS operation concerns

Graphene OS -
Needs - basic messaging, calls, map, Signal app required for work.
Concerns - General app compatibility concerns
Phone support concern - I heard Graphene follows the Google schedule. For example, Pixel 5 support stopped Oct 2023?

Network + Graphene OS concern - I currently use Mint mobile. Sometimes the network speed is noticably slower, but it still gets the job done 90+% of the time. Concern is that with a smaller network company + a less common OS is going to be a bad combination and lead to a basic functionality issues.
