Hello! I am excited to be posting for the first time, and appreciate what this project is doing.

I also have no intention of being redundant in my posting as I know there are several Pixel Watch threads. But, I am trying to pair a Pixel Watch 2, and though I have read through all of the threads I can find on the original Pixel Watch pairing under GrapheneOS, and I have tried to follow them (mostly granting permissions to Play Services and the Watch App during the pairing), I still have had no success. I get either a perpetual screen saying that it is "transferring" my watch but never completes, or it does complete but when I click "Done" the Watch App instantly crashes and it appears to be unsuccessful when I open it again. Has anyone successfully paired the 2nd version of the Pixel Watch?? I'm on Pixel 8 Pro, fyi.

I had to install the "Google" App and grant it internet access and nearby devices.
When you have everything set up and everything works, you can uninstall or deaxtivate the app.
That worked for me

Thank you for taking time to reply. Sadly that does not seem to be resolving the issue I'm having.... :'(

I tried to give all possible permissions to play services and to the Google and Watch Apps just for the pairing process, but it's still just hangs there when it's trying to connect. Is there a way that I can look at some sort of system log? I'd love to get this working if I can. :). Also, I did succeed in pairing this phone and watch before I put GrapheneOS on them (just to rule out hardware issues).

MoonlitOrca I did succeed in pairing this phone and watch before I put GrapheneOS on them (just to rule out hardware issues).

This tickles a memory for me. I have a vague sense that once a Pixel Watch has been paired with some phone it must be explicitly told to un-pair with its phone before it can be paired again. But this is a faint memory and I don't have one.

        9 months later

de0u You can "Transfer Phones." But it shows "Transfer failed" whenever GrapheneOS tries to pair right after the message "Continue on phone" appears. You cannot pair via bluetooth to the google watch 2, even though bluetooth has to be enabled, you can only pair via the dedicated pairing system. If your watch is already paired with another phone, the bluetooth pair screen on the watch and phone will not see each other, but will if you go to "Transfer watch" in system or the notification that appears when the pixel watch app is trying to search.

If you manage to get past this issue, the google watch app will show a dialogue that will ask for a pin number. The dialogue will VERY QUICKLY close itself, and the app will immediately re-request pairing.

After this, the watch itself will go into a transfer failed loop and the app will keep re-requesting a bluetooth pair code. This will happen even if you give both play services and pixel watch app all permissions. Opening pixel watch app will complain that play services doesn't have nearby devices permission, even if it does.

coldReactive It sounds like you've tried a lot of things and are still thwarted. Unfortunately, I've never owned a Google Watch, so I am vastly unqualified to direct you toward success. Sorry!

Chiming in to add my own problem.
I can get trough the entire setup up to the point where the watch app scans for updates. It will then tell me that there is an Update for the watch and to install it (there is no button to not install said update). When I want to start updating the watch app (on my Pixel 8 Pro) crashes with no change to the watch itself which tells me to continue on the phone. after reopening the App I am met with a "pairing unsuccesful, reset the watch and try again" message.
Does anyone have any help there? Thank you in advance!
