Currently, if I want to use a Bookmark on Vanadium, I have to do the following:

  1. Tap on Vanadium icon
  2. Tap on + New Tab
  3. Tap on the vertical ellipsis
  4. Tap on Bookmarks
  5. Tap on the Mobile Bookmarks folder
  6. Tap on desired Bookmark

I can't find a way to do it with fewer than 6 taps. However, if I could set the Vanadium homepage as the Mobile Bookmarks folder and then toggle on a Setting to have Vanadium always open to a new tab, 6 taps would be reduced to 2 taps:

  1. Tap on Vanadium icon
  2. Tap on desired Bookmark

I'm not a programmer, but intuitively it seems like that would be two very easy implementations without security risk.

MetropleX changed the title to [Feature Request] Vanadium Tabs & Bookmarks .

Snowmonk have you disabled javascript in settings if so that site won't load. However I have visited it and it checks out and works fine.

MetropleX thank you. It works after clearing cookies.

Maddeningly, I don't see how to update vanadium.

    • It comes with gos, but it's not in the Apps app.
    • No search returns from Aurora, playstore, or fdroid.
    • I can see the code on the GitHub but not the installer.
    • Within vanadium I could not find an option to check for update.

Snowmonk Vanadium updates are tied into system updates ATM. Not sure why Vanadium isn't in Apps with the other GOS apps 🤷‍♂️ possibly because it's the default webview they need to ship together? 🤔 not sure

deign Interestingly, doing this changed Vanadium's behavior. Previously, when I closed the last tab, Vanadium would stay open on a blank screen with a + NEW TAB button at the top. Since setting homepage to your suggestion, when I close the last tab, Vanadium closes at the same time and screen goes back to desktop. After tapping on Vanadium again, it opens to a new tab with Bookmarks as the homepage.

Very close to what I wanted!! However, I want to set homepage to my Bookmarks folder of choice, like Mobile Bookmarks. Setting to Mobile Bookmarks seems to default to Bookmarks.

I was looking for this myself.
Thanks Deign for the head start.

To go further for Cigurd's request. Add this to homepage
          chrome-native://bookmarks/folder/3
To find address if different folder, open bookmarks, go to mobile bookmarks, click into address bar, press up arrow by bookmarks to populate the address required.
Then just leave a tab always open, click home button when finished with page and always just one click away then.
