On my Pixel 7 Pro, update installed fine yesterday. Today I have a lot of problems with apps in second user profile and sandboxed google play. I tried ti restart and got this message. Thereafter, switched off and on and it worked OK. It is not reverted to the old version, still newest one (900)
In love my phone now that I have GOS installed. You guys are freaking awesome. Thank you, thank you , thank you
I've updated session to 1.17.3. Its working now

Thanks
I've said it before but it needs to be said again and again, thank you so much to all of the GrapheneOS team.
It must be a hell of a lot of work and pressure right now since you weren't accepted as an Android partner and didn't get proper early access.
So I'm guessing it's all hands on deck so to speak, and I'm blown away by the speed of the updates and fixes.
I have a 6a which had some problems from the 2023100800 alpha, but they are essentially fixed with this release.
My partner is not very tech savvy but I have recently set her up with Graphene on a 6 pro and everything has been perfect so far. Before and since the update to android 14 (stable channel), there haven't been any issues yet. She also finds it far more user friendly than her old Samsung phone and loves the lack of bloatware (the privacy and security benefits are just icing on the cake for her).
And for me, knowing she will always be getting the security patches quickly and seamlessly (for the next roughly 3 years at least) is such a load off my shoulders :)
So yea thanks again and when my situation allows I'll donate
You guys are already aware of the battery bug? My batter was on 50% for like 5 hours. I was in the battery saver mode. Obvious an error. Then disabled the battery saver mode and rebootet the phone. Then it was getting lower than 50%. Now I am at the battery saver mode again and its again since a lot of time on 42%. Wtf? This is not true, because my Pixel 5 does not have a good battery anymore and I run a service on my phone which use a lot battery.
Updated a few hours ago, no issues so far. Great work!
I have unlimited battery now in battery saver mode, this is nice. :D But I think my phone shut down in few hours. Because its 42% now, but in real it must be around 20%. With battery saver mode it will stay at 42%.
No one have this issue? I have a pixel 5.

P6 - no Play / no profiles -> all good so far :-)
Widgets work for Threema but not for PrivacyFriendlyWeather. https://github.com/SecUSo/privacy-friendly-weather

I think this is a general problem since the update. The app "DRM Info" unfortunately also only shows widevine l3. So it will potentially affect all streaming apps.
Amazon Prime doesn't show what resolution it's running at, but the picture doesn't look great either.
[deleted] Same here, also on Pixel 6a. However, I don't have multiple users enabled, just the Owner profile and the problem still happens on it
Additionally, scrolling on most apps (except for WhatsApp) has no momentum. As soon as I lift my finger the motion stops in place. And I can't dismiss notifications for the same reason. Any other motion (like bringing down the notification drawer) might be possible, but painful.
What's weird is that this only started happening a few hours after having the update installed.

Unlocking on main profile hangs on lockscreen for around 2-3 seconds. Gestures stop working afterwards and there is no way to get to home screen if you unlock in an open app. Even the 3 button navigation doesn't work. Entering the gesture settings shows a blank screen!! Pixel 7 Pro
Fixed for now:
Rebooted twice. At the second reboot I got no valid system. When I powered on again the bug dissapeared. Will update if something comes up.
Same here – and I have found the reason!
You are using display lock, right?
There is a new update for Session on GitHub and in the own repository of Session on F-Droid with version 1.17.3.
If you have installed it and then browsing all submenus of preferences menu, don't activate display lock!
All other settings are working as usual, but in the moment, when you activate display lock in submenu Privacy, first entry, your Session app will crash!
If you can't reach the settings because the app is always crashing after the start, tap long on the app icon, select “App Info” and then delete “cache” and “memory content”.
Attention! All of your chats and contacts will be deleted! Be sure, you know your recovery phrase!
Only the last 14 days will be recovered by using the recovery phrase – but today there is no other way to get the app running again – maybe tomorrow or a little bit later there will be a newer update 1.17.4 (?) which fixes all easy with installing it?
If you have very, very important and/or older chats and contacts, then it's maybe worth to be patient and wait for the next bugfix from Session's Dev team…
I have sent my crash reports to CTO Lee Jeffereys and they will fix it.
Tip: Use your password vault to store Session IDs from your important contacts.

Bingo!
Downloaded 1.17.3 from GitHub.
Thanks very much for all the help here.
Guest profiles are not being deleted upon end session , has this brought to the devs attention?
