Been using GOS for a while, love it (2 years).

From time to time I had to use the GoogleStore when I could not find what I wanted on F-Droid OR if the Aurora Store was not running properly at the moment i needed the App....

I am bit worried that my Pixel 6 GOS installation has some " all the time " connection to Google..

Could someone guide me what to check and how to turn off most common connection to google in my phone ?

Tks for your patience... I'm not an Android Guru so this is why I am asking this weird question....

If you have Google Play store installed then the Play Store will be sending data to Google. Luckily GrapheneOS prevents it from collecting the most sensitive data that it wants to collect. If you want to stop Google Play services from sending any data at all, you will have to uninstall those apps.

I removed google play store and now signal won't work

Where can I get google play store ??

Noobie question....

Oops for I don't know what reasons, signal is finally ok

Ok it says signal can't register with google play services and won't allow me to make calls etc ... So I think I was too fast and uninstall google play services... Probably the GOS tweaked one..

yoda68 Signal works without Play services, calling also still works. Try reinstalling signal after you have installed or uninstalled play services. When you get the notification saying that it doesnt work with play services, just tap a few times on the screen.

yoda68 Read the link I provided...Specifically the "Installation" section...

[deleted] OOPS ok I got it now... Through the GOS Play Store !!!!! Sorry I missed it at the 1st read

        yoda68 Yes.

Open the app "Apps" (from graphene), you can either uninstall or install it. So yes, you can get the store back.
