Hey I am currently on the latest grapheneos version 2023080800 on my pixel 7. I deleted my work for recently after installing the update and now I am recreating work profile with shelter but the apps keeps crashing in the work profile including shelter itself. Is it just my device or is the crash a result of the update? I did the same before updating to the latest version of grapheneos and it worked just fine. Need to know if I need a factory reset.

Average_joe It sounds like an issue with the Shelter app. It may not have liked the work profile getting deleted. Did you delete the work profile in the Settings app? You can try clearing the user data of the Shelter app, and starting to set up the work profile again.

Yeah. Profiles are supposed to be deleted first through Settings like the documentation states.

treequell I went into settings>passwords and accounts>work profile>remove work profile. I then uninstalled shelter. When I reinstalled shelter and created work profile, shelter kept crashing randomly and so did the apps in the work profile. Also, shelter asks for notification permission when it starts which is normal but even after I allow the permission it's not accepted by the system. I manually have to go to app info to give it notification permission.

[deleted] I did that and I restarted before I reinstalled the work profile again. Also grapheneos os generates crash reports but I don't have the technical knowledge to understand it and I also don't know who/where/and how to report it. Just don't want to factory reset the entire device for this crash thing. I can't even say if it's a system problem or the app problem. The problem only started after the update though
