  • [BUG] AOSP keyboard remains active between profiles

Hi there. I am very happy Graphene OS exists 😍.
This might be a low priority bug:

Main profile: Gboard enabled, sayboard enabled, aosp default keyboard disabled.
Profile 2: aosp enabled, no other keyboards.

When I use the profile 2, and then go back to main(terminating session or not, doesn't matter) I see that in my main profile the AOSP keyboard gets automatically enabled.

I change languages frequently so having 3 languages per each keyboard (3 Gboard and 3 AOSP) gives me a list of 7 keyboards to choose from when changing languages, with this bug. I then go to settings everytime to disable AOSP keyboard and get a shorter list of languages (4 = 3 Gboard + 1 sayboard).

    digital I think I can also reproduce the default Keyboard being re-enabled in the owner profile, at least after reboot. I'm not exactly sure if this is a bug or a feature.

    There needs to be at least one keyboard app with direct boot, so that BFU there is a keyboard available to type your PIN/password. That might be why the default Keyboard gets re-enabled for the owner profile.
