  • Uber without Google services and FOSS maps

Wondering if Uber would work downloaded from Aurora store without the Google services in 2023. If not, maybe I can log on to Uber.com and order taxi that way?

Also, do FOSS maps like OsmAnd, Magic earth, and Organic maps work also without Google services?

From memory, Uber will work without Google Services, however, Uber's map won't work as it uses Google services to display the map. So the app will become very difficult to use.

As for Organic Map and co. - they do not use GServices so will work fine.

sygic map also works without google services and also dont need internet for navigation, it is not free but pretty good

    grapheneman I use Sygic all the time. I like the maps in particular. I find it very battery friendly unlike Magic Earth which makes my phone very hot.
