Newest version 6.22.0 won't work on two different up-to-date GOS Pixels.

6.21.1 was working and installed on a third Pixel so I saved the APK to a USB drive and tried to install it on one of the first two pixels, but it isn't working either now..

Anyone else use NFCU and having any trouble with v 6.22.0 and TQ2A.230405.003.E1.2023041100 ?

Have you tried toggling on the exploit protection compatibility mode? I have to do this to get the wells fargo app working.

Can I have a play store link to the app? Will I be able to reproduce it by just launching the app?

I have been able to reproduce this on three GOS devices - P6, P6a and P7.

Unfortunately, for further testing, I do not have a stock-andtoid device at the moment.

On my devices: I launch NFCU app, a blue splash screen with the Navy logo (a basic Globe) appears, hangs here for maybe ten seconds, then simply crashed and I'm returned to phone's home screen.

Just putting my two cents worth in: same issue here. NFCU app worked fine the last time I tried (months ago). I updated today when I tried accessing it again and it freezes on the blue screen with the NFCU logo. I've tried with Exploit Protection on and off. Rebooted, uninstalled, re-installed, force-stopped, cleared cache and storage. Didn't help. I'll look for that native code debugging toggle.

One other data point: When I first opened it, I had the old version. It appeared to be working there. But, I was prompted to update and did so before trying anything else. After the update, it went nowhere but stick at the blue logo screen.

EDIT: it turns out, Native Code Debugging was one already. Also, the app doesn't crash on mine. It just stays sitting there. However, I've swiped away from it and after a while, the phone stops working (taps don't register). I've had to reboot from that.
EDIT 2: Sorry, forgot to put my phone info: Google Pixel 6 on T-Mobile, GrapheneOS 2023041100.

Go to Settings > Security, disable "secure app spawning". Then reboot and try again. If that doesn't fix it, please remember to enable secure app spawning again.

It's unlikely to fix the issue, but not unheard of. Please try it and report back.

dregrinfuces the app doesn't crash on mine. It just stays sitting there.

You're right, this is exactly what's happening on my device too.

Secure app spawning did not fix it for me either.

Not sure if this was already mentioned; are you guys using Play Store to download the app, or something like Aurora Store? If Aurora, trying using Play Store itself.

Same problems. Google Pixel 6a, Graphene build TQ2a.230405.003.E1.2023041100, Navy Fed app version 6.22.0, using owner profile (only profile), tested all security changes talked about, installed app using both Aurora and Play Store with no difference.

If at all possible, I would recommend reaching out to the app developers. There's no reason (that I can see right now), why this app would not be working for you, barring a bug in their app, or them choosing to no longer allow non-Google certified OSes.
