If you click on contacts, and then click the top left 3 line menu. You will see Labels (if of course you put labels against your existing contacts) In Samsung, these are known as groups. Cool, a much needed feature using a phone in todays world, especially while texting. Segway into the issue. If you start the texting app, click the plus on the bottom right, the top menu will allow you to access two categories, "Frequents" and "All Contacts" no where can you start a new group text of predefined groups/labeled contacts from the messaging app.
Can not start a new group text using predefined groups / contact labels
graphite-or-graphene That's annoying.
The built-in Messaging app, inherited from AOSP, lacks many features. Google may not be interested in improving it, since they would like people to use RCS. Others would suggest an app with strong encryption, maybe Signal, or Molly, or Session, or ...
Meanwhile, I think some people like QKSMS. Maybe that has this feature?

While in the Contacts app > 3 bars menu > select the label (i.e. the group of contacts) > select 3 dots menu > Send Message
Does that do what you want?

2dognight Yup! Just odd that you can not start a group text in the messaging app with a predefined group.
