The new ToS from Curve seem to be that they are pivoting into competing with Google / Apple Pay and enabling NFC payments for everyone. This could be the solution we were looking for have a more country / bank agnostic solution for NFC payments in GOS.
I hope they don't trust Google Play Integrity or some other dumb thing that could exclude us, we need to complain if they do.

FINALLY! I'm gonna switch to using this exclusively to incite them to them to not shut it down in a year ;)
When and if they release it, that is.

thequint In Germany, you can use 'Digitales Bezahlen' with Sparda Bank.
Oh, already mentioned in older posts. But whatever.
I came across another app, but I didn't try it. If anyone wants to try and let us know
Apparently Huawei will cooperate with it for their watches
It's called Quicko Wallet and you can get the apk from here:

mgeo Wait. We all convert to Graphene for privacy and then install a Chinese government spy app?
DeletedUser5 I love that their privacy policy doesn't even contain a privacy policy. Or the word privacy.
DeletedUser5 It's not Chinese app. It's polish. It's just the only direct way to get the apk file from Huawei appgallery, similar to what other users in this forum tried with Curve app. It's on playstore, https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=pl.upaid.quicko&hl=en&pli=1 but not on apkmirror.com And it's also on Huawei App Gallery.

I am not sure about their privacy policy, but unlike Curve which has a ton of trackers (according to trackerblocker app from frdroid - this one doesn't show up any trackers. I really don't know
DeletedUser87 Sorry, I though they collect the same data as curve. What have you seen? unlike Curve which has a ton of trackers (according to trackerblocker app from frdroid - this one doesn't show up any trackers. I really don't know
mgeo funny, the privacy policy part wouldn't load for me before, now it does. Even better - it's filled with spelling mistakes:
of You loose your card immediately report it to the relevant services and block it,
and technical nonsense terms
anti-virus, anti-spyware and firewall software
Yes, I will just install my anti-spyware software right away.
It seems like there weren't any lawyers involved in the writing of this absolute vague and nonsensical "privacy policy". I'd stay away as much as possible. Financial institutions need to be perfect, I don't want to trust my financial data to some hillbillies with a computer.
If I connect my old Galaxy via WIFI hotspot on my Pixel8 GOS, tap and pay works on the old phone which now doesn't have cell service. Might be worth carrying both phones only at times I plan NFC payment.
upsidedown the important word here is "old". Google certified device that no longer receives security updates is considered insecure. Using it for payments is playing with fire, since any vulnerabilitiea aren't patched.
upsidedown isn't that more troubling? instead of carrying only your bank NFC card?
I have a few bank NFC cards that I'd rather not carry together, plus I'd rather not show merchants my real card numbers. G Wallet is also convenient for membership cards, though I imagine I could save these in some other app or even photos.
upsidedown I see. Do you have benefits for each of those cards? I mean here, I have a debit card which I guess it's enough. We have to pay annual costs for every card we have,
Yes there's an app for loyalty cards. Check on f-droid for "Catima" it's open source and really great!
My cards have different 5% cashback categories (gas, groceries, etc). No annual fees.
At first glance, Catima does look great for loyalty cards. I’ll consider using it, thanks!

upsidedown If you are concerned with privacy, why do you use cashback cards? Aren't they privacy nightmares?
