  • Copying "settings" from main user to others

When I create a new user I find I have to go through all settings on the phone and recheck them and set them again.

Is there an easier way to copy over all settings to new profiles?

No I do not think so

I know some settings are global across all users whereas others are local to each user.

You could give a couple of examples of Settings that you have to manually update in the secondary user?

Honestly I don't recall any examples. So far I been using just one profile. I made a few test profiled and found having to recheck settings a bit tedious. But maybe there isn't many settings. Not remembering what might need changing I was checking all settings.

Oh, gestures would be one, as I was using 3 button system. Just as an example.

Oh another good example I just noticed is that I had customized the order of notification bar pills, and I have to do all again.

User2288 It would be nice to be able to dump/restore all settings as YAML, and even nicer to be able to dump/restore only non-default settings. But I am not aware of a way to do this on GrapheneOS.

Do other Android variants support things like this?

          de0u I dont think so.

I asked cause I wondered if there is a way, that i don't know of. I'm not expecting a solution.

          More examples would be:

          The quick access bar
          Display settings
Sound and vibration and haptics settings
          Accessibility settings
          Privacy settings
App permissions (but this one being different makes sense to me)

Overall: it's much. And it's very annoying going through all the setting manually by setting up a second user profile.
Personally, I use three users for different reasons but my settings are in all users nearly the same.
