Like the title says. Has anyone managed to get that working? Have tried it several times and can't get it to work. I wonder, app you people who got NFC payments working on pixel watch with gos, how did you do it? Do you all use credit cards? I'd like to use what I have and that is PayPal. I know several banks got their own implementation of NFC payments but not mine unfortunately.

I also searched the forum and am aware there are several posts on that topic but not with PayPal afaik. So apologies if I haven't looked hard enough.

Any idea would be greatly appreciated.

Graphene OS has NFC enabled and you can turn on sandboxed google play services. Have you tried following the steps that people who use a normal android pixel do? If you haven't found where the error is when following the steps everyone else does, finding out if there is even a problem will be difficult.

Also, just on a side note, for financial security and privacy purposes, I wouldn't trust your money with a company that tried to sneak in a "2500 USD for misinformation," clause in their TOS before removing it due to backlash, nor would I recommend using paypal/credit cards since the credit companies and other 3rd party sell all of your purchasing habits and whatnot. If you care about any of that stuff, I would suggest you use cash or monero instead. Again, just a suggestion. Let me know which step you follow where the NFC doesn't work, and I will see if I can help.

140Volt Hey there, thank you for your reply and sorry for my late one.

Good point following official guides for stock OS. But it really doesn't differ from what I already tried. It won't let me complete the final step (s) of linking PayPal to my Google account in Google wallet. Always says something like it's not allowed on this OS.

Thanks also for the privacy implications. I knew there were some but didn't know specifically. I've cared about all that stuff for 15+ years now and I'm sick of living under a rock if you know what I mean. Want to be able to experience the brave new convenient evil tech world. I also live in a country with relative good customer and privacy laws so I kind of count on that. Anyway good to know so thanks again.

If you or anyone else has any further tips on how to accomplish this I'd be very grateful. I also thought of trying to set it up on a computer via web interface or so. But I think it won't be possible and one is supposed to use the app on the device linked to the watch. Dunno. I'll see ┐(´ー`)┌

herbaert Did you ever managed to progress / get it to work? For me (on a Samsung Watch 4) the wallet app doesn't properly connect to my Phone.
