Bit of a stupid question, but I'm a previous iphone user who wants to start being a bit more privacy oriented, as I have with my desktop running linux. There is one thing I have taken for granted for a long time which I would miss if it wasn't present. Whenever something would send a conformation message to my phone, it would pop up so I could enter it in without leaving the app. Does this exist on grapheneOS? thanks for any help,

-Axel

Axelace13 Hi Axel. Yes pop-up notifications (e.g. from SMS, email, etc.) are a feature of GrapheneOS. So you can read and for some apps even reply to messages from the pop-up notification. This is a standard feature of AOSP so you will also find it on stock Android.

Axelace13 If you mean 2FA-SMS where a 6-digit code gets sent to you via SMS, and you have to enter it into the program, it will appear as a notification. You can drag down the notification without exiting the program and either read it out, or for most decent SMS applications (I use QKSMS), the notification will have a button to copy the code to the system clipboard, so you hit that button, then long press in the confirmation field in the application and hit "paste".

Thank you for the help! I will use the reccomended QKSMS most probably for when I buy and free a google pixel. This was just one little feature I was missing from when I used a xiaomi phone a few years back. I can now sleep safely knowing my next phone has a small comfort feature I appreciate on iphone!
