Molly.im

Nuttso I know it is probably doing it. Only the nofication misses, actually most of the time. :)

Nuttso If you ask the right people they will tell you signal is actively monitored by LE.
Are you serious about this? Any sources or where you heard about it?
Next thing. Im not sure if this only happens me or if it happens to others too? Sometimes when unlocking the database and the password is accepted and then when the unlocking "circle" status finishing the app crashes. Just from time to time. Not always. Are you aware of this? What could be the issue that make the app crash like this?

You misunderstood what I'm trying to point out. People talk a lot of sh*t. There are endless claims that signal is being monitored. There is no proof for that. Just ask the right people (dumb criminals)

Send us a debug log next time this happens.
How I can configure Molly.im in all my profiles using the same phone number?
I have configured the app in the main profile then entered to an additional profile to configure it has a linked device, but I can't do it due to the configuration needs to interact with the app into the main profile.
Is there no way to do it without setting up the app on an external device and setting up this external device is the primary device?

cdflasdkesalkjfkdfkjsdajfd use the link. Not the qr code. And don't use db lock for linking
I'm using Molly (FOSS version) for some weeks in a profile without GSF installed and it consumes a insane lot of battery. Is there a way to limit it?
[unknown] molly foss without FCM uses more battery indeed. But it shouldn't be something extraordinary. What version?

Nuttso I'm using latest version (7.1.3-1) and the battery consumption is noticeable.
From 3h AM to 6AM device consumes (in idle mode due to I'm sleeping) a 1-2% when app is enabled and a 0% (device still shows 100% of remaining battery) if the app is disabled.
Also using Telegram FOSS and no notices this consumption at all.

How about letting the user set the polling interval (anywhere between say 30s and 5min? Longer periods may benefit noticeably with battery usage those users who don't mind waiting a little longer for updates. I read on this forum certain messengers permit this.
[unknown] that's normal battery usage for molly foss

Nuttso can you elaborate this answer? please.
Also, the battery consumption is due to Signal or Molly? Thanks

cdflasdkesalkjfkdfkjsdajfd there is room to improve molly websocket. It's possible that signal is currently working to replace the unidentified ws with a new socket using the Noise protocol. We are interested in improving

Make notes on userprofile names has been possible in Molly for some time. ;-)
It hasnt been specifically mentioned, so in order to be told im wrong, or prehaps shed some light for someone. The database locking usage is similar to Gos auto reboot, as in its nice to know that if your phone is removed from your person that it will return to a more secure state automatically, for me setting the timer to 2hrs works well, i use the phone during the day for work so the first time a 2hr block of time with me not unlocking the phone occurs is when im home having tea or sleeping when im not interested in being notified of calls/messages.... and of course if i am parted with my phone then 2hrs is not a huge window.
