well, when i say not working, i mean i cant figure out what im doing wrong.
permission for the app: camera, location, nearby devices, network, notifications, sensors.
docs mention this: Re-routing location to the OS geolocation service will use more power than using the Google Play geolocation service since we do not provide a network-based location service and implement it via GNSS / A-GPS only.
i dont have google play signed in, i dont want to (using aurora as mirror)
i granted google play services: nearby devices , network, sensors, location
'No GPS position' showing in app

any ideas?

I use it with Pixel 6a.
      Magic earth has permissions:
      Location
      Network
      Sensors
It doesn't depend on Play services and the app works fine completely without any other Google app...

GPS shows the position when outdoor. I will rather point out, that you have to actually enable location in toggles. If you only allow location but do not enable it, it won't work. One user quite recently had this problem and it was simple as that.

[deleted] it seems that you need to be outdoor as you said, i just came back from outside and it is now showing.
i couldnt find a setting in the app to enable it
really simple thing but good to know, thanks!

Same issue on my Pixel 4A. I got the app to work by enabling exploit protection compatibility mode.
