"Can't reach Google right now" is the error I have been getting since yesterday. I have all permissions denied except microphone as I use the talk to text feature. Anyone else having issues?

Hello, the speech to text feature requires the network access since, as far as I know, the interpretation is done by the servers of Google.

I allowed it to download for offline dictation, and then revoked network access. It has been working well since yesterday. I toggled the network permission on and then off again, and it appears to be working again. Just wasn't sure if others had a similar issue.

I'm having no issues with GBoard but I have all permissions denied.

I've had this happen too, with turning network permission on and off again solving the problem. I believe you might only have to do this once.

Every time I did a fresh install of GBoard (I've done that 3 times, each time to test other voice to text alternatives like Sayboard or Google Recorder) and downloaded the offline language files, the "Can't reach Google right now" issue appeared a few days later. It never reappeared again for the few months I continued to use GBoard.

Keeping my finger crossed. I'm back on GBoard and I haven't had the issue appear again for the last two weeks.
