I use NetGuard, so I can see which domains are beeing accessed. Today I realized a strange behavior from Vanadium. I typed in : posteo.de. First Vanadium told me, that this is a unsafe page without https. I looked into the logs of NetGuard and I saw that:
update.googleapis.com/443
safebrowsing.google.com/443
sb-ssl.google.com/443
are tried to be accessed (this domains are blocked in my preferences). So that may be the reason why Vanadium told me, that posteo.de would be no https domain.
I checked with bromite: only posteo was accessed, no https warning, no google domains.
Can you explain why Vanadium calls up google domains to reach e simple domain like posteo.de?

I don't know for sure, but do you have Safe Browsing on?

Settings > Privacy and security > Safe Browsing

If it's set to enhanced or standard, maybe try changing to no protection and then check again.

unwat Yes. You're right. This causes the google callings. This is a bad out of the box configuration for a degoogled Os. Thanks

I have no idea why it's enabled for you. It's disabled for me even in a profile I recently created.

It also appears to disabled by default here.

Hmmm. I can't remember that I activate the safe browsing. But i'm almost 50, so this doesn't mean anything 😁😅
