I add a place to OpenStreetmap and it doesn't show in my other map apps

Has anyone run into this? I have three map apps (Magic Earth, OsmAnd, and Organic Maps). I live in a small town that isn't mapped great so I added some of the small businesses to OpenStreetmap via Organic Maps. If I search for the place it shows up. But if I go to a different maps app, (Magic Earth or OsmAnd) and look for it on the map or search for it, there are no results. Shouldn't the place I added now be across all the maps apps since they are based off the same map?

OrganicMaps should upload POIs to OpenStreetMap, do you have an OSM user account?

(Last time I wanted to add something to OpenStreetMaps I ended up using the web interface because I couldn't find a suitable Android app that was easy enough to use, but it was many years ago)

Yes I do

Checking the web map for my changes they appear. So its strange they don't appear in the apps.

If they do appear in OpenStreetMap on the web, then I'd guess there's a delay before those changes propagate to the dataset used by Magic Earth and OsmAnd :-)

The app Dev needs to update their app. I've had changes that I made on OSM take weeks or even months to trickle down to making apps.

Really? That's good to know. I wondered why my changes aren't appearing

The various map apps pull from OSM at different times. For OsmAnd/Organic/Co Maps, it's been a few weeks for my changes to make it to the newer versions.

As far as I experienced it, the magic earth devs update the maps every three months or so.
