I recently installed GOS and when I tried the banking apps for DKB (Tan2Go) and Sparkasse (S-PushTan) from Germany they worked, though I had to wait for the verification letters to actually use them. Now (yesterday I think) GOS did an update and the apps don't work anymore. They're just stuck on the splash screen. I've tried deleting their cache and reinstalling them, but nothing changed.

These apps are installed via Google in Sandbox Mode.

My phone is a Pixel 6a, Build number TQ1A.221205.011.2022122700

Help appreciated!

I needed to enable native code debugging, now the apps work. Out of curiosity, why is this required for that if Sandboxed Google is already active?

Are you running the latest version of those apps? On my Pixel 4A5G Tan2Go and DKB Banking both still work.
But I have them installed in my workprofile using shelter and sandboxed google apps are also installed. Not sure if that is relevant, but that way you can turn them off completely and only use them when needed...

The GOS website has an explanation on their Usage page here : https://grapheneos.org/usage#banking-apps

Many of these apps have their own crude anti-tampering mechanisms trying to prevent inspecting or modifying the app in a weak attempt to hide their code and API from security researchers. GrapheneOS allows users to disable native code debugging via a toggle in Settings ➔ Security to improve the app sandbox and this can interfere with apps debugging their own code to add a barrier to analyzing the app. You should try enabling this again if you've disabled it and are encountering compatibility issues with these kinds of apps.
