matchboxbananasynergy Of course it will take some resources and I understand that it might be seen as something unimportant, but as explained in the reddit post, it would only require deleting a tiny amount of code and then enabling the already existing tiles.

ReadOnlyUser I've tried this before, but this also won't work as it requires root or Shizuku, which you can't enable on GrapheneOS because of the limited adb permissions.

Any news or workarounds about this?

imbatman As someone who has to turn my mobile data and wifi on or off multiple times a day, the current combined internet qs-tile in android 12 and 13 is really horrible to use.

100% agreed. I hate it too. I wish it gone.

It is one of those Google stupid design changes that makes little sense.

      Send a feedback to Google.

How is this a bad thing? It's literaly an IMPROVEMENT. You click on network tile and you can disable or enable cellular of Wi-Fi. Plus you can see all the Wi-Fi networks and stuff. The only downside is to have to make ONE more click AKA 0.1s more time.

matchboxbananasynergy It would require dedicating resources to implementing that change and maintaining it going forward. That, combined with the fact that it's not a privacy or security related change makes it something that the project is unlikely to want to implement.

As mentioned by my colleague every extra line of code, every change from the base AOSP requires maintaining, while the code is there now, there is no guarantee it will be available to revert the A12 and A13 change in the future. Providing it now just kicks the can down the road for a return of questions like this as it will happen eventually anyway.

Also note from the link provided:

Developer here. Any customization added is more code to test and maintain. Any simplifications means less code to test and maintain.

I think that GrapheneOS should make a statement somewhere that there are only a few full time devs and they can't afford to waste their time on implementing and maintaining things that only make a minor difference.

Pociwo this isn't a case of limited resources and we are open to feedback for UX/UI improvements, should they be easily provisioned and maintained. You only need to look at the Messages app being given dark mode as an example of that.

Pociwo How is this a good thing? I need to click two times more and wait 300ms each time and I do this maybe 10 times a day. What's the improvement? That two things which are never used together are grouped at the same place.

+1 this bug should be fixed if possible

martinkunev you're aware you just described literally less than 5 seconds during a whole day? Golly, you must have a stroke if the TV remote is just out of reach.

            On another point tho,

imbatman shizuku works just fine what issues are you having

N3rdTek shizuku works just fine what issues are you having

              Happy to report no issues.
Shizuku has been working perfectly since January 2023, when some changes were made to the adb restrictions, as yewawin203 pointed out back then.

This one more click is not a big deal, but what I would find very nice would be that the data connection is deactivated 5 minutes after a WLAN connection is established (as you can do with the WLAN after you are out of the zone).
If the WLAN connection is disconnected, the data connection should be switched on again automatically if it was previously switched on. In combination with the location-dependent switching on of the WLAN everything goes automatically and one can do this without these clicks completely :D

But I already know, I expect again too much, or it is not possible because....or this won't work because ... it is not AOSP ... security ... permissions ....
