DNB (Norwegian banking app)

I have used GOS for a couple of years now, and now after updated my banking app (DNB) to its latest version v2025.08.1 (720918837) it said it won't run on my rooted device. I tried to install earlier versions from 2024 which was all i could find online, but then it said that it does not support the device. I've tried to change the device spoofing in Aurora Store, but to no avail. I also have the same issue with DNB Spare.
Is there anyone else who has this issue or know how to fix this?

tdog On Aurora you can manually input a version code to download an older version.

Got the same problem, please email them at mobilbank@dnb.no and explain the problem and include a link to the attestation article on the GOS website. The more who write them the merrier ✌️

I think it needs to be installed by the Play Store. And for login, you may need to allow Play Integrity.

And in order to use BankID, you need the default Android keyboard to be the one used during registration, or it redirects you to an error page saying your device is rooted.

But same issue with DNB spare where it says "Spare is blocked"

Works after updating my system this morning (Aurora). DnB Spare is still blocked my end to - assume next update got a fix. Have not dared to update BankID, Firi, Revolut and Vipps (got some of them in the update section ready) in case they fall into the same dark rooted message thing. Laffen I have the latest from BankId and Vipps from Aurora, and they seem to be working fine.

I send a mail to mobilbank@dnb.no as @ujjayi suggested on the 20th of August, and to my surprise they answered.

Thank you for engaging in this issue. It is encouraging that DNB addressed and fixed this, and even mentioned GrapheneOS in their release notes. And the fact that BankID also fixed an issue that surfaced on GrapheneOS makes me hopeful about the future of GrapheneOS app support for Norwegian banking services in general.

This is annoying, but also slightly amusing. It's the first app I've seen that notifies the user about their device allegedly being rooted, while still allowing the user to dismiss the warning and use the app normally.

Good to know ref BankID and Vipps. Life without them is getting cumbersome :)

Updating Revolut from Aurora also works. You can't register as I've read it here on forum few months ago but update works.
After one update I was forced to login again and it worked to.

Still working for you? I get the "rooted" message, but maybe that's because I'm on a pixel 10 which is experimental for now?
