Did Android 16 Rename LTE to 4G?

I just noticed my phone now says 4G instead of LTE and in the settings i see that some of the options changed from "LTE only" to "4G only" for example.

4G and 5G are the standard ones meaning "4G and below" and "5G and below". What we add are "4G only", "4G or 5G only" and "5G only". If your carrier doesn't support standalone 5G, "5G only" isn't shown as an option. 4G is called LTE for most carriers. 5G is also known as NR but is usually called 5G.

@trashaccount I don't think A16 would rename LTE to 4G in all regions of the world. Perhaps your carrier changed something at the same time you updated? It will be much easier to answer your question once GOS based on Android 16 reaches stable.

IcyScroll I'm on T-Mobile and it would be a large coincidence if they changed it on their end the same time i installed A16.

This is basically what im asking - if anyone else on Android 16 / T-Mobile can confirm. It may be an OS change or a carrier one.
