Quantum DeletedUser370 Ye, we already talked about it. Just wanted to update it since they can probably deny me at anypoint. So it would maybe be another indicator that they are getting more strict.
snofjell I wish I had the same luck with Vipps as others are mentioning. I have been using it with GOS for 1 year (on a secondary account) without fault and in June 2025 I received the same "rooted device" message then followed but two other messages stating that Vipps could not be used on my phone (Pixel 8). Despite this and the fact I could not get past the initial screen with password protection, the tap to pay function worked and I still received notifications and money. I followed @DeletedUser370's advice today and tried to re-install Vipps from the GPS but received an error message that Vipps could not be installed i.e. not even the play store is allowing me to install Vipps? Does anyone else have this problem? I have sent emails to Vipps and spoken with Customer Service but sadly the Customer Service representatives are at all technical thus cannot help me or advise if Vipps will update the setting blocking GOS.
vodka snofjell Make sure your billing region is set to Norway or Sweden for Google Play to be able to install the app. Otherwise it will fail (at least it does for me when using a burner google account not setup to be a full norwegian or swedish account)
snofjell vodka Thanks for your response. In my case it seems like the issue was due to my different profiles within GrapheneOS. Vipps is back working for me now.
Quantum DeletedUser370 This doesn't seem to be the case. Had to swap phones because my phone turned green. Made a new user on my other phone. Downloaded google play/services, removed all permissions. Downloaded aurora and vipps. Ran through the setup and it works
fid03 Quantum Okay, then it's difficult to know what the logic behind their blocking is. Don't think there have been any recent reports of the root message other than one person reporting that it worked again after a reinstall.
barding I installed it on p10pxl, simple sandboxed play store install. Every feature, including nfc payment, working without issues from the start. The dnb app, though, says my phone is rooted.
fid03 barding The dnb app, though, says my phone is rooted. You might want to contact DNB about this. They resolved an issue that occurred on GrapheneOS in the past. Also might want to create a separate thread about DNB to keep this one tidy.
