How to get Pixel camera app without Google Play?

I'm enjoying GrapheneOS so far, however I'd like to install dedicated Pixel camera app. I have no idea what would be the safest way to install it avoiding Play store.

Aurora store way works, but I am unsure about using Aurora store for this kind off app in my "No Google Play" profile.
There is APK available from APKmirror - Apparently, it requires to have APKmirror app to install the Pixel camera app package. I couldn't find APKmirror app off the GPlay.

Then there's something to make it work without Gplay from what I understand (If not installed via Aurora store?)

Basically, I am interested in the best way possible on how to install Pixel camera app.

Cdc If you don't want to use Play Store, I'd suggest using Aurora Store in order to have a way to keep it updated after the fact.

install Gcam on other profile
copy apk to USB or cloud storage
insall on profile without G Services

But why would you not want it from Aurora?
It's much safer getting it from Aurora than from some random Gcam mod apk

mrn I somewhat agree, yeah. I have it installed via Aurora. I've been wondering if there are different ways how to install it in relatively safe manner.
Some people say that Aurora isn't safe enough. However, I can't see what could go wrong to be honest.

I would really recommend getting it through Aurora, and restricting network access.

Guys, I have to admit that I'm not impressed with my Pixel 8 Pro capabilities so far in comparison with S23U. It's not bad but not brilliant. I understand all the fuss about Samsung and iPhones now - I used to own both. It's quite bad to be honest. Its seems like I'll have to finally use my proper Sony camera :D.

Perhaps I am doing something wrong and I'd like to know your opinions. Is there any better camera app for Pixel in your opinion or can you suggest any solid FOSS image editing app?

Cdc I don't know what you are doing wrong. Some of the best images I have seen have been taken on Pixels. Samsung phones usually produce inconsistent, inaccurate photos that easily lose in professional rankings.
Leave all the settings on default for Pixel camera. Only then try "Pro Mode".

Cdc briefly connect to internet so app can download additional assets for image processing and allow access to hardware accelerators in Settings > Apps > Special app access > Special access to hardware accelerators for Google apps. See if that makes any difference.
