I can't scroll through pages. I can only jump directly to a page number or display one page at a time. What can I do? Really wasn't expecting still resorting to 3rd parties for pdf.
PDF viewer scrolling
https://github.com/GrapheneOS/PdfViewer/issues/41
has a pull request
https://github.com/GrapheneOS/PdfViewer/pull/383
but it also takes developer resources to review pull requests so there's no telling when it gets merged / whether it is even good enough to be merged.
@Daniel89 Our PDF Viewer app is actively developed. It had a release in November 2024 and has had major improvements implemented since then including support for zooming in much closer. Suggest you look at what's being done in the repository before claiming it's not actively developed. The pull requests people have submitted trying to implement swiping through pages weren't implemented in the correct way so that's why it hasn't happened yet. One of our developers is actively working on implementing it. Searching through the current page and the overall document will also be implemented but in the immediate near future.
The other apps you're talking about are the standard AOSP apps rather than GrapheneOS projects. Replacing or overhauling the AOSP apps is also in progress. Your claim that we aren't working on it is easily disproven by looking at our changelogs and the pull requests being worked on by our team. It wasn't a priority historically since our focus was improving the core OS rather than AOSP apps we didn't create with various alternatives available. It has become a priority and someone was specifically hired to work on overhauling all of them after they helped update the UI for our apps including the recent overhaul of Camera to use Material 3 with Material You.
phnx The pull request wasn't really adequate and we're going to work on an implementation ourselves rather than trying to get someone to make a completely different implementation than what they submitted.
