Curious if anyone has traveled to Thailand with a Pixel running GOS. Looking for tips on best (maybe cheapest) way to handle making/taking calls and texts while there for a couple months. I have a Pixel 6 Pro with a Verizon SIM and a Pixel 7 Pro with no SIM. Both on GOS.

I haven’t travelled there with a Pixel, but when I was there with my iphone I had to furnish my Passport to register the sim. There is Wifi everywhere but it doesn’t solve your text requirement.
You could look into international sims or see if Verizon has an international package. If you are okay with the i.d. requirement, don’t buy a sim at the airport. It’s cheaper from a 7/11 in the city.
Hello, I've been using GOS in Thailand for over a year now.
The best way to get a sim card and not be charged a 7-11 or Mom & Pop Store Premium is to go to a TRUE, DTAC, or AIS shop. They're in most of the major malls and superstores such as BIG C or Tesco's all over the country.
Ask them for a prepaid sim promotion, its usually starts with something like 30gb for 200thb a month or 50gb for 250 - 300thb a month. 7-11 would charge you the same price for a week's data.
You could even ask these service providers (personally I use TRUE), to hook you up with an eSim after choosing a promotion.
Sinai Thank you for those tips!! There is a True store within 10 blocks of my first stay in Bangkok and their web site shows 3 Tourist plans that would cover my stay. Nice to know GOS works well there too. Thank you!

I never thought about the vendor stores themselves. Makes total sense.
