  • Is there any difference in security between the models of Pixel generations?

DeletedUser26

DeletedUser26 surely that isn't a universal truth, right?

What i mean is, for example legacy devices, might not be considered 'secure' by the model used for devices that are released tomorrow.. But as people update && upgrade, less users and (less support), might mean all but forgotten (so to speak).

Another example. Nobody is EVER hacking my old 3rd generation Ipod. I feel it's highly secure as long as i dont physically damage it.. U get what i am saying hopefully.

nullable it’s a rule of thumb. I can’t think of any examples where Google removed security features from their SoC in a newer chip. If your iPod has networking then I’d be cautious about connecting it to the internet because it’s going to have a lot of vulnerabilities. Old vulnerabilities will stick around on older devices and never get patched.

There are no differences to my knowledge between the regular and the a-versions.

Starting with the Pixel 6 there's the Titan M2
Starting with the Pixel 8 there's MTE support
Starting with the Pixel 9 there's better modem isolation

missing-root Tbh modem isolation is very important. I would say more important than MTE

Its more accurate to call it modem hardening.

The GrapheneOS team consider MTE as the most important security feature added since the project started 10 years ago.
