Android is very buggy after updating to 15

I couldn't find anyone to have as many problems with update, i don't know if it is in any way normal. Tell me if i have to just wait for 2 months lol. We'll see how long i will last without picking up older chinese spy smartphone.

After updating there are "random" bugs, for example:

I can't use grapheneos camera because it's stuck on loading screen with app icon, but sometimes it works normally.
Termux freezes after switching away focus(less often if i avoid to switch focus by swiping or doing it too quickly).
Watching invidious in vanadium and firefox is even more painful for some reason, sometimes page doesn't load, only on mobile.
Some apps ignore top, bottom bar and keyboard from ui, so content and buttons are displayed under top bar(markor fixed after latest update from github, monerujo still has this problem even with constant updates).
On signal, sometimes i can't send video by sharing it from gallery, they don't even play preview, sometimes there is no preview for photos or photos and videos can't play, signal also crashed many times.
In fossify gallery, sometimes thumbnails don't work, and while viewing sometimes all images are black.
On facebook messenger i can't play any video in any context.
One time i rebooted my phone for 100th time and got log for system server crash.
Ffshare always isn't responding if i start to use it.
In the first few updates i crashed system ui and had to reboot with a different menu, no longer happens.
If i try to use Libre Camera, taking photos works, but if i try to record video, app freezes and then crashes.
One time even ui of message bubbles with signal stopped responding.

VLC on other hand worked well with hardware acceleration disabled, is stuck loading with full acceleration, also stuck on decoding acceleration, and the same happens with automatic. At the same time other apps can't play video and for some even display pictures. But i don't know if VLC occasionally works from time to time as other apps because i already used software decoding before android version update. Behavior is the same for vp9/x264/mpeg4 streams in VLC.

Usually i restart OS and every app that had problems with media works properly including VLC, but not always, and not for long. If it stops, it stops for everything.
I recorded a video with stock camera app when everyting seemed to work and then tried to play it and the whole phone stopped responding and rebooted shortly after.

note: Actually i use molly-foss with background service because messages were delayed with regular version + google play services on android 14

Same for me on different phones with GOS. Bust any other app works as expected. Other apps works as expected and i have no other issues from list.

Nobody can help you if there's no models, versions and logs provided. It seems a hardware problem to me.

Upstate1618 I only know how to properly share logs for system server crash, this is the first time i had to post here. grapheneos version didn't matter as much because it was literally every update after android 15 and i'm up to date, but i will add.

Is developers option enabled? Is bootloader locked?

Upstate1618 developer options were enabled, bootloader locked.
I did factory reset, didn't enable developer options this time because i didn't need to.
Now i'm testing, video hardware acceleration issues started only after a day of usage after playing a bunch of videos with Material files and VLC. Uninstalled both, i still have to wait to see if anything changes.

The problem with parts of the apps being covered by OS UI elements is due to the app developer moving their apps to the Android 15 targetSDK without actually testing to see that their apps work properly when running on Android 15.
Apps are supposed to support edge to edge before they move to the new targetSDK. The apps you see which have problems clearly do not.

I am experiencing issues too since upgrading to version 15.

Applications that do not open or close immediately, on some occasions.
The keyboard that doesn't appear when you need to write something.
You press to call a number and the phone does nothing.
Bluetooth disconnections (it has always been an unstable technology but with Android 15 it happens to me much more often).

The feeling is that everything is more unstable.

After upgrading to Android 15, my phone app coming with GOS broke down completely. The dial pad displayed "Call ended" instantly whenever an outgoing call was made, without even attempting to make an outward connection. On the other hand, incoming calls were directed to the voicemail box instantly, being told that my device was "turned off" and not in service.

However, in the meantime, the SMS app of GOS, mobile signal and internet connection of my device worked perfectly. The voice call function of other apps (e.g. whatsapp) also worked fine.

Would anybody have any idea how to fix it?

grapheneuser1234 Settings > network & internet > SIMs > [your Sim card] > Allow 2G toggle on. Does that help?

Funny, we have quite the same apps.

I am on latest beta, Pixel 6a.

Material files works, VLC works, ffshare works, camera works (video and photos), signal works

I had the overlapping app issue which is not a GrapheneOS issue

I also had fossify-gallery thumbnail issues but rarely, and not easy to reproduce.

Dont use Termux anymore but this might be some power management setting.

Well, you have a great choice of apps.

I uninstalled Material files and VLC like 4 days ago, and since then there were no issues with video playback and hardware acceleration, no crashes and only minor problems that other people had didn't go away. Every app that had some big issues was related to audio/video. What do you think?

And i'm using termux normally now without UI freeze, and you can guess that it would be pretty bad not having it because i have it for: git, yt-dlp, ffmpeg, imagemagick, openssh, curl, wget, hugo, neovim, basically all coreutils, and general development.
You can get an alternative terminal emulator and a dedicated app for most things, but it would be inferior to termux in features and storage space.
So i would have to only consoom youtube for a week to test if anything changes without it.

They are on 'LTE Only' and its likely that they are now not getting VoLTE from their carrier for some reason which is why calls arent working for them
