angela Some people hypothesize that a terminal emulator running Debian will be one of the features for Android 16. I have no idea as to the validity of these rumors, but if they were to be confirmed true I would rather suggest waiting for that implementation, rather than using termux or forks of it, considering that they are usually outdated, insecure or both.
Considering the current workload for the GoS team it would be outlandish to suggest they are going to put efforts into creating an app for Linux virtualization, especially considering that in the past they have expressed wishes to overhaul the default AOSP apps, which would doubtless take years on its own.
UserLAnd - Linux on Android, is an excellent, free application that provides the ability to run a number of different Linux distro's on Android via terminal or a basic GUI.
It's possible to access files within the android user file system from the Linux distro, so you can perform real work using these Linux distros. Very useful program.
It doesn't work in Secondary profiles however (at least it didn't when I tried about a year ago). An error is generated in the terminal when trying to run Sudo commands.
r_dac It hasn't been updated for three years and its sdk version is 11... Not sure about that one...
