So, i'd like to have a phone number for FB, telegram and other unsecure services that is anonymous. Unfortunately, in my country a id is required to get one. Is there a way like VOIP to get one just for registration purposes? Will a phone number of another country work? Thanks.

Yes, you can use a temporary number for registration purposes and a # from another country should work fine.

There are fairly inexpensive services like smspool.net or sms4sats.com for these purposes

mmobder many people here have nation-state surveillance as one aspect of their threat model. And it has been the consensus for a long time that offloading services to countries that don't cooperate with the state you live in (which is one of the 14-eyes states in this example), is generally preferred. If you don't believe me, look up the cases like the Protonmail IP logging of the French climate activist. That guy wouldn't have been caught if he used mail.ru or something like that because the Russians don't care and won't cooperate unless it affects their own national security. You don't have to be a Taliban to be targeted by a 14-eyes state.

splattergames I totally agree with you, what is the difference between Russian and US? None, everyone watches everyone, or ask Snowden, I prefer to use Russian numbers than US and EU numbers, a good option is to use crypton.sh, this is in Iceland and you can pay with Monero XMR

Facebook doesn't require a phone number for signup. Just sign up using your email instead.

goskm75f Facebook doesn't know my phone number. I were asked to add one, but could dismiss that box just fine.

goskm75f Maybe due to the usage of a restricted IP pool. Just a guess. Havent registered a Fb account for a while.

"Why buy what you can borrow?", use a street/public phone, it works sometimes. For freeeeeeee! :) .

Are there any additional European service providers, other than those previously mentioned, that offer a mobile phone number?

I'm asking in regard of using the number to actually make calls.

AcidDemon In the UK you can get a full service sim with 35gb monthly data allowance, roaming (30gb usable) on a 30 day contract, but they do demand £1.95 per month, so it depends on if that suits your budget, although less expensive plans are available
