Hey everyone,
After reading about the sandboxed google play services, it seems that this is the safest way to download apps but not the most private way. But since android 11 apps do not get any hardware identifiers so i guess my question is what does aurora have over sandboxed google play?

Misinformation being spread by a now suspended user has been removed from his thread. A user has been making false claims about how sandboxed Google Play compatibility layer works across multiple threads combined with making false claims about Google's practices. Misinformation being spread by a now suspended user has been removed from his thread. People expect to get accurate information from our forum and chat rooms. We can't be having people misinforming them to push their ideology. Trying to convince people to not use Google services is fine but needs to stick to facts.

GrapheneOS So back to my question does grapheneos have a recommendation for a new user? I just dont want to make silly mistakes

It seems I spoke out of turn somewhere along the line, so I'll do my best to stick to just the facts here (and please do correct me if I am wrong, @GrapheneOS).

As I mentioned initially, one key advantage of the Aurora Store is that it offers anonymity. It provides access to the Play Store app catalogue through the use of proxy Google accounts, enabling you to download and update apps without the need for a Google account of your own. From the project's website:

"For those concerned with privacy, Aurora Store does not require Google's proprietary framework (spyware?) to operate. It works perfectly fine with or without Google Play Services or MicroG."

You can learn more about the Aurora Store project here and here.
