  • Privacy emails that can be used in Internet instead of darknet

It seems that if you use Tor you can forget to use emails on Internet.
Example with Tutanota, after a few days/weeks they remove your account, no explanation, despite not having sent emails...
Proton may decide to do the same, and it's usually the most approved service but not for me anyway.

So, what are the other services that can be used over Tor and that are not blocked by other major email providers when you send the email?

steve66th I don't send out via Proton, but that is because there is no-one I want to write to, and had no issues. I have had my account for some time, although it is the paid setup, so that would probably make a difference. Were they to delete it then it would be treated as fraud.
Are you using the free structure? If so then you should check their terms as they might consider it an inactive account, and why should they maintain it? That's purely business

I have no problem with Tuta over Tor, but I'm on a paid plan (you can pay via XMR for anonymity). The issue that the tota.com domain gets blocked by providers can only be solved by using your own domain (bought at njal.la via XMR is a cheap way, but you technically won't own the domain then). Setup for own domains in tuta is easy and well documented.

I've heard that proton won't let you easily register an account over Tor (they'll ask for verification and/or block you shortly after), but I can't speak from experience. You may want to try mailbox.org as they are the only other recommended service by privacyguides, in case you value their opinion.

Good luck, and remember that emails are never really private or anonymous and should be avoided whenever better methods are available.

Try mailbox.org they also run their own Tor exit node. They are based in Berlin. I use them. I only use Tor on my Linux based laptop, and no problems.

Thank you all, certainly things that I didn't consider, my case is that I need to communicate with people that just know how to turn ON a device, hence classic tools...

Mailbox.org? I guess it will be blocked everywhere, but let me try.
The problem with custom domain is that they can see the originating email relay and also the sender server address if I'm not wrong, you just need a tool in your infra that gather these info for you and it's all automated, these info are also public.

[deleted] Even the free trial asks you to pay, and they accept only cards, but in any case they don't accept TOR...

troika And which one would be decentralized? Anyway I strongly think that it won't suit my friend.
