Hey everyone,
I want to export my contacts and save them on my PC as a backup. But unfortunately I couldn't find a way to do that. I am only able to export single contacts but not all of them.
Am I doing something wrong or is it just not possible?

Using the GrapheneOS Contacts app should do the trick:
A pop-up will say, Contacts will be exported shortly. Check your notifications for completion. You can verify the contents of the vcf file by opening it in a text editor.
mythodical Ahh, thank you. I made the mistake of trying to do it via the contacts tab in the phone app.
I recently installed grapheneOS on pixel 7 pro.
There is no option to import or export vcf in Contacts app > Settings
It only has the following options
Is it just me? or has this changed in the latest version of graphene OS?
If so, is there any other way to import/export contact list.
tastazardo I'm on 6a but my Contacts settings have import and export. No idea why yours don't.
You are in the Phone app settings. To find the Contact app, go to the home screen and drag to the top to see all apps.
Hey, That helped.
It was silly of me. I was not aware that Contacts was a diff app from Phone App.
Thx for clarifying.
How you export the photos we've added to the contacts? It seems the exported .vcf file doesn't include themm.
Same problem here. I haven't found a way to retain my contact photos. Have you found a solution?
I was able to export the file, but all my contact photos are gone. Is there a way to retain the contact photos?
dellingbrooks Don't know of an automatic way, but I keep my contact photos in a folder that I have synced (Syncthing) across my devices. Makes it easy to re-add them as needed.
dellingbrooks Custom photos are typically embedded within the VCF file as Base64 encodes. They'll appear under each contact entry as PHOTO;ENCODING=BASE64;JPEG..., followed by several lines of gibberish which is actually the encoded binary of the contact photo.
