PixTabHelp I'm out of ideas, I'm afraid. Can you try flashing from some other device?

    de0u Dug up an old Windows laptop. Updated it, connected the tablet and nothing. I have two cables ive been alternating so I just purchased a new one on Amazon. It has to be the cable at this point.

    Tablet did not appear in Device Manager when attached to any USB. This is driving me mad!!!

      Personally I would recommend cables by Cable Matters, Anker, Belkin, and/or Best Buy (my 6a was flashed via a Best Buy USB-A-to-C cable).

      Might be a good idea to hop into the chat channels where you can hopefully get it sorted.

      PixTabHelp If you have a GOS phone it worked perfectly for me yesterday. In USB settings my phone insisted on saying "managed by other device" and wouldn't switch. When I clicked the links in vanadium it popped up "connect to pixel tablet" and I had it flashed within a couple of minutes.

        MolRas66 Unfortunately I no longer have my Graphene-flashed Pixel. I believe I would still run into the issue of the device not being recognized being that Ubuntu nor Windows will pick up this dang Tablet. Something is preventing the tablet from appearing and it appears to be an issue stemming from the tablet itself

          Might it make sense to go back a step?

          If you plug a USB keyboard/mouse into the Ubuntu machine, lsusb shows the keyboard/mouse, correct? What if you plug a USB keyboard/mouse into the Pixel Tablet? Does the Tablet react to an input device?

            I'm going to have to dig around and find something. I don't own anything I can use to test this

            Did you change the USB connection to "data transfer"? In settings

              Naturally USB de-bugging was off in Developer settings but I did try turning it on along w/ changing the USB to Data Transfer. No luck. Also tried PTP. Nothing. Performed a factory reset via Recovery Mode in fastboot (vs resetting in the settings) and still nothing. I'm at a loss. Can the previous owner having temporarily attached his Google account to the tablet have any kind of security lock that would prevent access to the tablet?

                PixTabHelp So far the situation seems consistent with the USB port being broken.

                  de0u One thing I havent checked is if the tablet would even take a charge via the USB separated from the dock. This would confirm that. Will update later and if the case try to get some $ back

                    PixTabHelp I think the dock is just a physical adaptor for the USB-C port, so if it charges on the dock I expect it will charge from USB-C. But that doesn't necessarily mean the data lines are working. One possible hint: if the charging is very slow, that would be consistent with the data lines not working, thus the charge controller being unable to negotiate high power, thus falling back to standard USB bus power, which would be slow.

                    If the port is broken you shouldnt be able to send files over the cable.

                    I had a situation where CLI on Fedora was the only way that worked for installing GrapheneOS.

                    Issue is RESOLVED and probably in the most embarrassing manner.

                    Turns out when in Settings, typing anything relating to 'USB' would pull up the default USB config. in DEVELOPER SETTINGS. I had changed the default config to File Transfer, but it wasn't until Developer Settings were disabled and I attempted to change the Default Config. within the Standard Settings that my computer finally picked up the tablet.
