Hello there,

I have issues with connecting to WURnet and Eduroam. The WiFi from this source however is not the cause of the problem, as other devices connect to this WiFi network. My pixel 7 with graphene OS however connects sometimes, but then automatically disconnects (I don't know why that happens).

Details about phone:
Pixel 7
Graphene OS version: 2024071600 (latest version)

Hopefully you guys can help me out with this.

In Settings - Network - Internet - your wifi connection
Select the option "Random MAC per network"
This will give your device a specific (random) MAC number so that the wifi network will recognize you as a known user next time you reconnect.

lance Since other devices connect fine, it's likely a phone-specific problem. Have you tried forgetting the network and reconnecting, or resetting your phone's network settings?

lance Does your university provide instructions for manual configuration of the network settings on your device to connect to Eduroam? It's possible you may need to follow this manual configuration to get things working.

I would stop into your university's IT department, If they have a setup for Odd devices. They can provide you with the information.

They may have you Trust a CA cert or use a different network entirely.

OfflinePuffin I would stop into your university's IT department, If they have a setup for Odd devices.

I suspect that an auto-correcting keyboard changed "Android" to "Odd" here. But it would make for a fun visit to the IT department, to approach them and ask for support with odd devices, so I don't completely disagree with the keyboard here! 😄

In all seriousness, I've also heard about Eduroam networks needing some manual setup before, so I don't think it's unlikely that the university has some config instructions on their website.
