Battery and network/wifi signal randomly disappears

Hi!
I'm new to GrapheneOS, i have recently bought pixel 6a and installed GOS. Im on latest stable, but this issue occurs from first install (2022100300).
I have problem with disappearing battery and network signal icons randomly sometimes after big green location indicator shows, after it minimizes to small dot icon, battery/network icons are missing. Pulling down status bar and up restores icons. Has someone else also experienced this issue?

Do you maybe know if it is AOSP bug or its only GOS related?
Maybe its somehow connected wirh fact that pixel 6a has the same tag as emulator?

im experiencing mobile data connectivity problems (google fi) but i don't see the behavior you describe. pls share if you know how to troubleshoot that. i believe it did work fine weeks ago.

I have no idea. It's related to a feature on GOS that's not in AOSP (if I remember correctly), so it's possible it's a GOS bug, but then again I don't know how they implemented it, so it could also easily be an AOSP bug. The only way we could know for sure is to find the code in GOS to see how they implemented the location access indicator.

Not sure about emulator tags. I have a Pixel 6. Not sure which tags are associated with Pixel 6. I'm more inclined to think it's a UI thing that would be the same across all phones, whether it's GOS or AOSP.

Location indicator is not AOSP feature? I thought it is since i got the same indicator on my previous LOS 19.1 phone.
Ah, if you have pixel 6 and the same happens to you that means that its not connected to tag.
I thought its weird that 6a/6/6pro shares the same SoC but only 6a has diffrent tag.
I have cleaned cache for app com.android.systemui and now it seems to behave better (i havent got this bug yet).

I guess I remember incorrectly. Looks like GOS just made some modifications to the indicator already in AOSP: https://grapheneos.org/features#location-data-access-indicator. I just don't remember the big green icon popping up in Stock on my old phone.

I tried looking at commits by GOS devs and only found one that was related to the location indicator. They just changed the policy for when the indicator is shown, nothing else as far as I can tell.

So, yeah, what I said earlier about this not being in AOSP was very wrong.
