fxnn I obviously could do that, but current Firewall options don't satisfy me needs in terms of protocol selection. Graphene already grants it's users toggles to disable default connectivity, albeit by switching network type to metered or disabling connections altogether in settings.
other8026 I wouldn't suggest doing this since keeping apps up to date is better from a security perspective
I never saw Vanadium update itself, except when i open an "Apps" app.
but have you tried turning off Apps app's battery usage settings > allow background usage?
Doesn't help since Vanadium itself sends those queries. Even if it does work, and Vanadium is capable of updating itself, it doesn't respect the "Metered" network type currently. There are many legit reasons to be able to hide the fact that i'm using Graphene from malicious ISP/Network, and i don't want to fall at the mercy of 3rd party firewall apps to protect me in such a way.
