Hello,
In order to avoid my temptation to visit websites I should not visit (or at least do not wish to visit, depending on your perspective), I wish to completely remove my cell phone's ability to access the world wide web. Or at least, place a significant barrier between myself and doing so. Before someone inevitably asks why I don't simply throw my phone in the ocean, or carry a so called "dumb" phone (which don't really exist, but that's another conversation), the answer is because I don't want to. Another question I anticipate "Why not just have more self control?". The answer: Avoiding temptation and even self deprivation is the essence of self control. But again, that also warrants a separate discussion. All philosophy aside.... down to the science:
Disabling Vanadium from settings is simple, but just at simple to enable again. Uninstalling Vanadium from the user profile with adb is a better option, but installing a third party web browser using f-droid or obtainium (which I do not wish to remove) is also simple.
A next step could be disabling WebView using adb. This would render any first and third party browsers useless. In order to bypass this, I would have to plug my phone into a computer and run an adb command. To me, that's an acceptable barrier between me and my temptations.
Here's my question: Will doing so cause system insecurities or break critical functionality other than what I'm wising to accomplish? My mind is to disable the following:
app.vanadium.browser
app.vanadium.config
app.vanadium.webview
